What is a top level mindset?

The Patient Experience Blueprint keynote presentation is designed and focused around solving the three major problems dental practices face today, that make dentistry difficult and the relationship between team and patients seem almost adversarial:

Hypnosis is an excellent tool for personal change and aligns well with the profession of dentistry and its needs. It’s great for:

– Fears (noise/vibration, pain, phobias)
– Useless habits (smoking, nail biting, others…)
– Pain relief (acute and chronic)
– Overactive gag reflex

Everyone is susceptible to suggestion to a certain level, some more than others. However, if we’re talking about a “formal” hypnotic trance then no. If a subject is actively focusing on not being hypnotized there’s very little chance that s/he will be.

Everyone can accept and act on suggestions, but not everyone is willing to let themselves have the experience of going on stage and appear to be out of control.

Hypnosis works in different ways for different people and sometimes it’s difficult to even agree on what hypnosis is… which makes it easy to deny – but the results are real. 

The typical example is the 30yr smoker that leaves the hypnotist’s office angry because “hypnosis didn’t work” yet he actually quits smoking that day. That person doesn’t credit hypnosis but his results are undeniable.

I truly wish we could because it’s a wonderful feeling, but no. Unfortunately only in the movies do people get stuck in hypnosis. Even if the hypnotist were to faint (let’s not kill him yet) while volunteers are hypnotized on stage, the volunteers would simply emerge from hypnosis on their own time, likely within a few seconds to a few minutes. 

Not really. A person is considered to be more aware and in control of themselves when hypnotized than in our normal waking state. So while it may seem from the audience point of view as if the hypnotist is controlling the volunteers, in all actuality it’s the volunteers who are displaying a great degree of control when they can: adjust their body temperature, recall an incredible amount of detail of a certain memory, file away a piece of important information as if forgetting it, and much more.

It is!

Hypnosis helps us deliver messages to a person’s subconscious mind, where decisions are actually made. There are no better tools for sales and customer service teams to understand and use than those of hypnosis and NLP.

Your group may experience a range of interesting hypnotic phenomena from light state muscle catalepsy, where people feel they can’t move or that they’re stuck to something or themselves, to deep state phenomena like positive and negative hallucinations, where people see things that aren’t there or don’t see things that are.

Depending on your group’s needs, there’s also a fun, interactive memory performance, where audience members can challenge their memory skills, win some money, and learn an incredibly useful skill.

Yes. There will be live demonstrations of hypnotic phenomena with volunteers from the audience, while explaining how things work and making important points about how to use this information to enhance all areas of life.

Most likely yes. Although only a few people will be able to come up on stage because of time and space, normally there are audience members that also get hypnotized. This is a natural phenomenon and they will be led out of the trance the same way as everyone else.

Those who wish to not be hypnotized at all should not participate in any of the exercises… though what would be the point?

The audience will be warned when hypnotic processes will be taking place for anyone that doesn’t want to participate to opt out.

The most general response it’s that it feels like a comfortable day dream. A relaxing moment in time where one can feel as if floating and observing the situation from a different perspective. 

A person cannot be forced to to anything against their will with hypnosis. Taking slow long-term manipulation out of the equation, a person in hypnosis will not act against their own moral code or do anything that is truly against their will.

The old cliche or the hypnotized person clucking like a chicken simply means that person was okay with clucking like a chicken or else the hypnotic phenomena would not have taken.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the study to the subjective human experience. Meaning how we each experience the world around us.

NLP is useful in team and patient communications and all interactions, sales situations and in the delivery of difficult news or maneuvering through tough conversations such as treatment plan presentations.
